Discover Taman Negara after Dark

The Night Jungle Walk is one of the most exciting activities in Taman Negara Pahang. As the sun sets, a completely different cast of creatures awakens to roam the dark, ancient rainforest. Equipped with flashlights, our experienced guides will lead you through a safe boardwalk to spot the fascinating nocturnal wildlife, including unique insects, glowing scorpions, slow loris, and exotic amphibians.

Tour Itinerary & Timeline

Assemble at the main briefing area. Our licensed Nature Guide will provide an overview of safety protocols, distribute flashlights (if requested), and brief you on what unique species you might spot tonight.

The journey begins! Enter the wooden boardwalk into the deep edge of the primeval rainforest. Notice how the temperature drops and the symphony of crickets, cicadas, and frogs intensifies. Use your flashlight to spot:

  • Asian Forest Scorpions (they glow under UV light!)
  • Camouflaged Stick Insects & Giant Ants
  • Sleeping birds and colorful tree frogs
  • The famous Slow Loris hidden in the canopy

Walk back towards the civilization slowly to take in the final sights, sounds, and smells of the rainforest. The tour concludes at the basecamp or your respective resort area in Taman Negara.

  • Stay on the Trail: Never wander off the designated boardwalks for your own safety and to protect the fragile ecosystem.
  • Flashlight Etiquette: Avoid shining flashlights directly into the eyes of animals, especially the Slow Loris.
  • Do Not Touch: Some insects and plants can be harmful. Please observe without touching.
