Tour Itinerary & Timeline

Arrive at our main basecamp for registration. Our experienced river guides will distribute life jackets, provide a comprehensive safety briefing, and explain the proper seating positions for rapid shooting.

Board the traditional wooden longboat and embark on a thrilling ride through the seven major rapids of the Tembeling River. Be prepared to get completely soaked as the boatman skillfully navigates the white-water!

Disembark at a riverside settlement of the Batek tribe. Learn about their nomadic lifestyle, experience a live demonstration of traditional fire-making using only natural materials, and try your hand at the blowpipe hunting weapon.

A gentle cruise back down the river allows you to dry off in the tropical sun and take in the magnificent rainforest canopy before arriving back at the jetty.

Important Reminders

  • Expect to get wet: You will get completely soaked during the rapid shooting portion. Please dress appropriately.
  • Life Jackets are Mandatory: For your safety, you must wear them securely at all times during the boat ride safely.
  • Respect the Village: Always ask for permission through your guide before taking intimate photos of the Orang Asli.
  • Listen to the Guide: Always follow instructions while navigating rapids and moving around the indigenous settlement.
